What you will be doing as Collection & recovery Officer?

  • Contacting Customers: You will be responsible for contacting customers who have missed payments or defaulted on their obligations. This may involve making phone calls, sending reminder letters or emails, and initiating personal visits.
  • Negotiation and Payment Arrangements: You will engage in negotiations with customers to establish repayment plans based on their financial situations. This may include discussing alternative payment options, restructuring the debt, or setting up installment plans.
  • Compliance with Regulations: It is important to adhere to relevant legal and regulatory requirements governing debt collection practices. Familiarize yourself with the laws and guidelines related to debt recovery and ensure compliance in all interactions with customers.
  • Relationship Building: Building positive relationships with customers is crucial in the collection and recovery process. By demonstrating empathy, active listening, and professionalism, you can establish trust, understand their circumstances, and work towards mutually acceptable solutions.
  • Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all customer interactions, payment arrangements, and progress is essential. This includes updating customer databases, documenting agreements, and preparing reports on collection activities.
